BANGKOK, 7 March 2016 (NNT) – Most of the injured persons from the boat accident in Saen Saeb canal have recovered and can now return home, according to Bangkok EMS.


The Bangkok Emergency Medical Service (Bangkok EMS) has revealed the current situation of the injured persons from Saen Saeb canal the commuter boat explosion accident, initially causing 66 injuries, that most of the injured have returned home after receiving treatment.

20 patients will continue to receive treatment at Bangkok Hospital, Ramkhamhaeng Hospital, Petcharavej Hospital, Paolo Memorial Hospital Chokechai 4, Rajavithi Hospital, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, and Ladprao Hospital.

Six among the admitted patients are being treated in the Intensive Care Unit.

Thep Leela Pier today recorded less passengers coming to use the commuter boat service, while the Hua Mak Police Station's Commissioner Pol Gen Sarayut Junnawat has revealed that investigators are now questioning injured persons from this accident, after interrogating the driver and the owner of the commuter boat company.

Charges are yet to be made to any persons related to this accident, while engineers responsible for the installation of gas tank on this boat have been asked to undergo police interrogation.
