Justice Fund gives the impoverished access to legal services

BANGKOK, 7 March 2016 (NNT) - The government has reportedly helped more than 2,500 impoverished individuals with legal fees via the Justice Fund.

Government Spokesperson Maj Gen Sansern Kaewkamnerd said the fund was introduced to provide financial aid to those who cannot afford legal services. Legal fees are paid for those eligible for the fund.

From October 2014 to January this year, 2,896 cases have been resolved. During this period, nearly 6,000 people sought assistance from the Justice Fund. Of this figure, some did not qualify for financial support, while dispute settlements are still being carried out for many others.

In addition to low-income earners, victims of human rights abuses are also entitled to the fund. Certain guidelines required by the Justice Fund will be revised this year to help the disadvantaged and raise social equality across the 76 provinces of Thailand.

my justice fund is literally a baseball bat to the kneecaps. That how i deal with a thai justice on rapist.

I'm sure the poor bloke in jail for stealing 3 coconuts will be helped then whistling.gif

They must first understand what 'justice' actually is. It's certainly not to be found anywhere in this country. One Judge and his whim/backhander of the day. Who picks these cretins anyway? Oh, right .. coffee1.gif
