Where can I get a document verified cheaply in Bangkok

Featured Replies

I need to have a copy of my foreign birth certificate signed and stamped by a lawyer, magistrate, etc. The last time I did this it cost me 1000 baht for 3 minutes' work. Anyone know where I can get it done for around 500 baht in the Sukhumvit area or near a BTS/MRT station?

You won't get a document notarised any cheaper, around 1000 baht per document is the usual rate regardless of whether it takes 3 minutes or 3 hours.

A couple of posters will be along shortly, one in particular, to shout about how there is no such service available in Thailand that carries any authority. Ignore them if the party that needs the notarised document is happy with a Thai lawyer providing the service.

Right. I've done this before when applying for offshore bank accounts and they were perfectly happy with a Thai lawyer's stamp.

you can get a certified copy going to your embassy, normally is cheaper then a notary

Thanks. I was wondering about that.
