Revolut card

Featured Replies

It was my understanding that the Revolut card offered Interbank rates on exchange. I just installed the app and found that while GBP to USD and EUR matched the Interbank rate, the rate for THB was 49.5 when the Interbank rate was 50.3. Doesn't look like the Revolut card is a good option for Thailand?

Things change.

Seems a shame that out of 90 currencies Thailand keeps company with a country effectively run by gangsters.

Erm.....

Partial quote from from that second link in Jiu-Jutsu's post above:

However there are some illiquid currencies such as Thai Baht and Russian Ruble which are difficult for us to trade. For these currencies we will give you the best rate we can.

Hi

Many people complaining THB with Revolut is worst than traditionnal banks. Hope they can improve it. For now they take 1.5% margin while Mastercard raw price is about 0.3% above interbank market :

Also now they also markup AUD with 0.5%... sure AUD is such an illiquid currency...

They were doing that before with AUD. They appear to announce these things after the fact.
