March 11, 201610 yr In utopia the ecomomy could grow 3% but Thailand is in chaos so reality says that the economy will continue on its downward spiral this year and next year. As for the increased spending on unnecessary internal megaprojects, a waste of time and money.

March 11, 201610 yr the Thai economy is likely to expand within the range of 2.8 - 3% by the end of 2016. With a high possibility of more negative inflation, contracting exports, flight of capital from Thailand and further devaluation of the yuan, growth should be within the range of 2.0-2.8% for 2016. Last year's 2.8% will look like a miracle in comparison.
