I entered Thailand in August and have since 'walked' twice into Myanmar from Maesai. Are the new rules being apllied only from Oct 1, in which case I can walk twice more or can I only walk once more? I keep hearing conflicting news. Also can I apply for a tourist visa outside Thailand can come back immediately or do I have wait for 3 months?

You can enter Thailand as often as you wish, but the total stay in the country with a visa exemtion-chop must not exceed 90 days in any given 180-days-period.

You can apply for a visa subsequently and can enter once received such.

Needs to be seen if a visa will be granted if one has too many visa-exemption-stays already.

It is finally clear for me that the 90 days count and not the number of stamps.

Nevertheless, could you confirm if the count of these 90 days starts only on oct 1st ? if yes, it would be really good news for me !

thanks
