Chachoengsao police arrest man with illegal weapons

CHACHOENGSAO, 14 March 2016 (NNT) - Authorities in Chachoengsao province have confiscated illegal firearms and ammunition from a local gun enthusiast.

Commissioner of the Chachoengsao Provincial Police Pol Maj Gen Theerapol Chindaluang supervised the detainment of Surasak Chantrabirom at Bang Pakong Station. The suspect was arrested for possession of an AK-47 rifle with 57 rounds of ammunition, a 9mm handgun with 47 rounds of ammunition, and 17 rounds of ammunition for a 0.38 caliber firearm.

Mr Surasak admitted to being an avid firearms collector, having obtained the AK-47 during a fishing trip to Khlong Dan subdistrict, and later purchased the ammunition over the internet. He claimed that he had never used the rifle.

Authorities confiscated the weapons and charged Mr Surasak with illegal possession of firearms.

ak are a dime a dozen. meh. he probably had a referbished broken by default chinese one. I prefer the Russian ones with wooden SHoulder rest. Start a war? lol. I doubt he coud finish a fight with that much ammo. 120 bullets really dont do as much damage as ... say... 40b in petrol. 200g of styrofoam , and a tennis ball.
