CHIANG MAI: -- In a move to make Songkran a little less sexual, Chiang Mai officials have announced a ban on sexy, see-through “X-ray pants” at the famous water festival.

To protect the image of Lanna culture, any clothing which can appear “suggestive” when soaked with water has been banned from Chiang Mai Songkran celebrations.

This includes the “X-ray pants”, which were expected to be a huge trend during Songkran this year.

Wet T shirt competition out the window also I guess. They will need a battalion of water police down by the moat, this could be hilarious when the arrests take place and hit the social media.

But no ban on the arsenal of Dildo's for sale in the street stalls next to the one's selling the "suggestive" clothing

One thing for sure, there's no chance the Karaoke rites of Lannas will be stifled under CM's current administration.
