90 day report by post - help please

Featured Replies

I did my 90 day report by post in Phuket. They received it on 29th February, it is due by 21st March. I haven't had any response yet and don't know if this is because of the post or something else; does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do now?

I am pretty sure that I completed all of the paperwork correctly and included all of the photocopies that were required - the only thing I didn't do was pay enough postage so that the return would come tracked (as I didn't know about that one until after I'd sent it off!)

Should I phone? Should I go up there? Should I wait a bit longer? Should I stop getting my knickers in a twist? wub.png

You sent it to early is probably the problem. The earliest you can send it is 15 days to insure it arrives no later than 7 days before the report date.

If you don't get it back by your report date or within the 7 days after allowance to report you should go to the office to do a report.

  • You did it far to early. They couldn't have processed it when received and it's possible it got filed away and forgotten about. You might have to submit it again. I would contact them.

You have until Friday 25th March to sort it out so you've plenty of time. But if you have to submit it again you'll have to do it in person.

Sakhon Nakhon office was processing my 90 day reports by mail the day they received them 4 to 5 days before the due date, consequently bringing my 90 day reports forward, as opposed to 90 days from the due date.

A 5 Baht stamp is all you need on the return envelope.

3 Baht actually...

UbonJoe coulld confirm this but my understanding is that if you have the EMS mailing receipt and print out the confirmation that the EMS letter was delivered, you are covered. I too mailed in my report and received my report receipt about three weeks after I had mailed the report in. My report receipt had a red stamp on it saying " Next time, please send 15 days before the due date." So your report, at least in the eyes of Chaeng Wattana, was only five days early. I know that it's a different office, but since it took me 21 days to receive the receipt from Chaeng Wattana, It's possible that you may receive your receipt around the 21st or so. If I were you, I'd wait until the 24th before going to the immigration office since your late reporting period would expire on the 25th. Even so, if you have copies of the papers that you submitted and the mailing and delivery receipts, you should be covered. You did make copies of the papers that you submitted, didn't you? I always keep copies of everything just in case. Good luck.
