Is it too late to stop the Donald Trump machine?

If Trump makes it to the White House (Bob forbid) there will be a daily string of excuses. Each day, the WH Press Secretary (Sarah Palin?) wlll have to issue excuses for the many screw-ups by the prez. Trump will be changing his mind, changing his policies, fixing grammatical mistakes uterered prior, blaming others, ad nauseum. Excuses, excuses, excuses. He will also be making excuses for not doing things he promised. His whole life is built on excuses, blame and name-calling, and it will only get more profound if he becomes top banana.

Actually, it will be pretty entertaining, more so than George W.

When asked about Thailand policy, Trump pound his fist on the podium and will bark "it's time Thailand take back the mainland from the PRC."

When asked about why corporate America is not beating a trail back to the US to install factories to make widgets, he will berate the CEOs telling them he is really, really smart and really, really rich and they should listen to him.

The funniest thing is going to be seeing the hubris and premature gloating of Clinton supporters wiped off their faces. I have thoroughly enjoyed the U.S election spectacle thus far, but expect it to get even better.

Funny. And for emphasis, he'll say that he's never forgiven the Chinese for bombing Pearl Harbor.

You mean like when Trumps crushes Piano Legs in the general election?

Yeah! I'm going to LOVE that too! biggrin.png

With W.VA's primary coming up, Trump made another misinformed reference to coal miners (don't get me wrong, I like coal miners as much as anyone, but there are times when some professions are old-school, and other jobs need to be found or created).

Trump says he will maintain all coal miners' jobs. It's a useful statement for garnering votes in WV, but it's out of touch with reality.

Trump also added that HRC wants coal miners to never work again. What an immature statement! HRC is an American who loves Americans. She wants people to be gainfully employed. For Trump to say she wants them never to work again is beneath contempt. It should hurt Trump's image more than help it, as reasonable people will see what a gutter scraping statement it is. Come on America, don't stoop so low (as to suck up every stupid thing Trump declares). We're better than that.

Excerpt from an NPR report: HRC released a $30 billion plan last fall for increased job training, small-business development, and infrastructure investment in Appalachia. The plan also seeks to safeguard miners' healthcare and pensions.

Check this out, boys...

Anti-Trump groups and campaigns spent $75.7 million on 64,000 negative ads against Donald Trump this election cycle. And that’s just broadcast television. Millions more were spent on cable and satellite television ads.
CNN reported

http://edition.cnn.com/2016/05/03/politics/indiana-primary-results-live-updates/index.html#lf-content=163742678:[email protected]

"The television ad campaign to defeat Donald Trump was at least a $75.7 million effort, according to the ad tracking firm Kantar Media/CMAG. (Their full estimate: $75,723,580"

Does anyone really believe that Crooked Hillary stands a chance?

Cruz drops out of the race! It's over!

A great day for hillbilly paranoia

Now we can go to the next step of the election process...visibly humiliating the MURRICA faction and burying it forever. Donald Trump is just the man for that task.

Whatever he’s doing to bring it all down, it’s working. And I hope he doesn’t stop.

Huzzah!

.....I sure do not want to kick a man when he is down.

Make sure you are aware that there are very few "hillbillies" in Indiana. Probably zero.

Yet they love Trump and hate Cruz

touche

Republicans, and this wuz the Republican party primary.

It was an open primary to other voters....to vote in the Republican party primary.

A quarter of the Republicans said in exit polls they cannot vote for Trump for Potus. Those are the Cruz and Kasich Republicans and there will be no rapprochement to 'em.

Whatever crossover votes there are between the two parties will not change the ultimate outcome of the general election.

A new Rand survey finds 53% of voters surveyed say they will vote for a Democrat for president this fall while 37.9% will vote for a Republican.

Just four months ago, a similar survey found 46.7% were planning to vote for a Democrat while 43.1% would vote for a Republican.

It is both a landslide year and a Blue Wave Democratic party year across the board. Like in 1964 and deja vu all over again as Yogi Berra liked to say. Senate, House, White House and executive branch, Supreme Court.

A 7 percent swing in votes nationally puts Democrats into the House by overcoming Republican structural redistricting. The scientific polling data indicates a greater than 7% difference from 2010 which is when R's took majority control of the House. As many as 8 R senators up for reelection are goners, maybe 10 and at least 6, when the D's needed a net gain of 5 to get majority control again away from the Republicans.

Much obliged to youse guyz over there thx.

Barack's revenge.

If they asked me, I'd suggest a lot less spending to try and defeat Donald The Divider. He's defeating himself. Just broadcast his speeches. If the American public are so redneck as to not see the contradictions and the damage he will do for America, then I guess America deserves a dufus like him.

Hillary can't seem to beat a worn out 73 year old socialist white guy that isn't even a member of the Democrat party.

You liberals should be building her up and not trying, without success, to bring her opponent down, whoever it might be.

From the looks of things, she ain't got much of a campaign.

How do Hillary supporters explain EVERY poll showing her losing to Kasich, a likable enough guy but he can't even convince people in his own party to vote for him?

I'm not worried about Trump offending world leaders.

I'm worried about the signal he sends to Putin when he even hints at the tiny possibility of pulling out of NATO.

Most here don't understand what an offhand comment like that means to a man like Putin. It will embolden him and he will exploit it to his advantage among the politicians he has bought and paid for in the EU...and they are not. or will not be pro-American politicians if they ever get in power.

That's really easy.

Kasich is well liked.

Hillary has strong negatives.

Trump has much stronger negatives.

The republicans would still be smart to nominate Kasich, but of course, they won't, and that's GREAT news for democrats.

Many Democrats love to tell the Republicans who to nominate I truly believe if the Republicans nominated JC they will not vote for him

I known you will not.

I will be glad to vote for JC but I think the next President will be Trump who will vote for

Let the Democrats nominate any Crook or Commie I do not care

Yes! Now we need to beat "Crooked Hillary"!

Well, that's easy enough.

Just give her enough rope....she will hang herself.

She is still under investigation...lets see what she does.

One other thing....Nobody likes to be called a Hillbilly, or dumb/uninformed. Hillary people like to think of themselves as a step above the ordinary man. Well, guess what? Nobody likes to be patronized or put on a lower level. Everyone is Equal. This is why Hillary will lose.....and that just makes it all the more apparent. It seems that the only weapons these "smarter", more informed people have are...verbal insults and street violence.

Exactly their weakness.

Add to that their utter "predictability". This show is all about a new movement. Not so much about Trump himself. America is tired of the same old political humdrum bullsheet. It's going to take a long while to reverse the direction the USA has taken. Erasing Obamacare, toughening up immigration, fair trade, insisting other countries pull their weight (for the own defenses)....and creating jobs.

Hillary is just not right for the job.

just a repeat of the obama years.

she will lose.

Pretty accurate piece in the Daily Beast today. Trump appeared to feel the crowd closing in on him Tuesday night. What does he do now?

The fun and games were finally over for Trump, and he knew it.

No longer the insurgent outsider, he’s now faced with a choice. He can continue to be himself, peddling conspiracy theories and insulting every foe with the sophistication of apreteen mean girl. Or he can start acting like a statesman and risk losing the people who love him the way he is.

Just thought I would ask why none of these Hillary Supporters on this thread open their own thread about Hillary.

I could not find any recent topics on Hillary. Seems it is all about Trump.

That sort of puts it all in perspective. Just as the democrats tried to silence trump and his supporters at Trump Assemblies, they would prefer to come to the Trump topics rather than open their own.

For sure, because nobody would be interested in reading anything at all about Hillary....until the FBI pulls the plug on her campaign.

Until then...she is just boring, mundane and more of Obama. (Thank goodness it's his last year)

Not really true, as HRC beats Kasich in a general election. But you're close, Kasich is the strongest of the pack of 3. He can't get the Rep nomination because he's the most reasonable and intelligent of the trio. Reps don't want that. They want the sizzle, not the steak. They want the guy with the golden toilet on his large jet with his name emblazoned in gold. They want the guy who can potty-mouth Rosie O'Donnel. They want the guy who will say "everybody will love me, you'll see. I'll make America so great again, you won't know what hit you!" Even Mussolini would be in awe of The Donald's publicity machine.

Hillary is just not right for the job.

just a repeat of the obama years.

she will lose.

If Obama could run for a 3rd term he would win. Even Republican insiders would grudgingly agree on that. If HRC is a repeat of Obama (tho I wouldn't say that), then that's not so bad. as Obama has done a rather good job, particularly in lieu of Republican insiders always dragging their feet at every initiative the forward-looking Dems propose. Even now, Reps are dragging their feet re; the president's Constitutional duty to appoint a nominee for the S.Court.

If nothing else, Obama is well-liked and respected by world leaders. Trump isn't even liked by staff at his hotels (treats them like underlings and won't allow them to unionize).

Kasich is a very unlikeable individual. That worn out record of his time a gov. didn't get it nor his eating habits as The Donald so lovenly pointed out! 555

Nobody cares about his eating. I would agree that the real negatives that Kasich does have have not been well exploited yet because he hasn't been perceived as a real threat to Trump. Which he hasn't been. His main negative on the republican side is that he's a career politician with a solid record in governance. In this bizarro world year, that's not fashionable. But in a general election against another career politician, irrelevant.

Where's a Hillary Thread?

Seems only fair?

It's Donald who keeps grabbing all the headlines. Like show biz, "there's no such thing as bad publicity." He himself said he could shoot somebody and his numbers wouldn't sag. I don't think even Mussolini said something that weird. Trump can say any ridiculous thing ("Women who seek abortions should be criminalized" or "let's dispense with NATO" or "I will abolish the Department of Education and the IRS") .....and he's guaranteed headlines.

In contrast, HRC is predictable in that she's presidential, knowledgeable on topics, knows how to get legislation passed, is well-liked and respected by foreign leaders, doesn't flip-flop daily, ....so those sorts of things don't garner headlines. Does that answer your Q?

Not one Trump fan on this thread listened to Hillary's entire victory speech, after her 4 out of 5 wins last week. They don't want to hear it. They've got their Hate-Hillary glasses on, and that's all they need - to know she's the ogre living in a rat's nest under the house.

He may look unlikeable to you (and other Rep voters), but he's the most presidential of the 3 Rep candidates (now 2). But that's fine. Don't change a thing. Give Trump lots of rope speaking venues. He won't lose any fans between now and Nov. 8th, but he won't gain any either, which will leave him with a small portion of the votes.

And to talk about another candidate's eating habits.... Ok, I know Trump is trying to be funny (like when he make fun of Fiorina's face) but he's as witty as he is a gentleman. Not. .....and then blaming 9-11 on Bush Jr. ! I'm not a Bush fan, but that was a low - even for the Trumpster.

I don't get the "piano legs" thing. Are Trump fans going from 3rd grade humor to 1st grade now?

Also, there's pending litigation against Trump: A class action by many folks who were duped by his fake University.

na na na na na, you're it. (I feel like I have to stoop to 1st grade taunting level for you to understand such things).

Without a doubt, Trump's hired thugs will try to postpone the U trial for as long as possible. Just like Trump won't show his tax returns for the past 3 years (or for any year). For those of us who aren't dazzled by his steaks and vodka, can see Trump for the small town mafia wanna-be he is.
