Garry
Sinthani will do house calls, as long as they know the brand / model in advance. Edited March 18, 2016 by Garry
toybits
I rely on Chiang Rai Kruang Yen (along Phahol Yothin Rd). near Sip Paet (18) Mituna Road. They repair refrigerators, freezers, air-conditioners. They do house calls as well. Decent service - not outrageous price.
villagefarang
I thought about posting the name of the guy we use but decided I might not be doing him any favors in the process, considering some of the foreigners I have encountered here in Chiang Rai. As Garry suggested Sinthani might be a nice neutral recommendation.
ripstanley
What is the approximate cost for servicing an A/C in your home?
villagefarang
What is the approximate cost for servicing an A/C in your home? It all depends on what kind of A/C you have and what you need done. I think our basic cost is around 500 baht per unit for basic cleaning which should be done twice each year. Anything else you need done will cost extra and depends on the kind of unit you have and the kind of gas it uses. It is nice to provide refreshments to the team as it is hot work. A little extra gas money when they leave usually makes a good impression as well if you live as far from town as we do.
