Greetings...how close can I get to finding a Tops Supermarket equivalent (bigger than a tiny shop, not as big as a Tesco) where I can do one stop shopping for fresh vegetables, fresh meat and fish, dry goods, personal care items (toothpaste, toothbrush, etc.), dried seaweed, etc......

....that is close to the Evason Resort (Rawai Beach area).

I'd really like to be able to walk or mountain bike.

Nothing like that in the area. There is a pretty good mini mart opposite Nikitas which sells dried goods and chilled items such as ham, salami, milk, cheese etc. They also sell fruit outside. One of the veggie ladies on the opposite side of the road from the Evason can probably sort you out with fresh veggies, chicken and pork. The Sea Gypsy village will have fresh fish and there is a market on Soi Saiyuan on Monday and Thursday afternoons that has all fresh options.

Ask for Don's Cafe, theres a Supermarket, and head towards Nai Harn beach, on the way there are many fruit and veg places and smaller supermarkets. Not sure if that suits, otherwise a trip to Central might be best.

Hey g00dgirl.....many thanks! I was fortunate enough to come across Don's many stores (market, cafe, general cool hangout place) during my web searches. I called them and they seem very friendly!
