how to renew children's thai passport in uk

Featured Replies

Possibly contacting the Thai Embassy may be a first move and then hopefully you can process the passport.I do feel though that there may well be a mass of obstacles in your way.

Good luck anyway.

Hello can you please help

My half thai children need to renew their thai passport and I need their thai birth certificate which unfortunately their mother has but theirs no contact from her.

Can anyone please advise as to what I can do.

Thank you

Unless you have sole custody you need the mother to co-sign the passport application.

For help in obtaining a copy of the birth certificate you can contact the Thai Consular Department in Bangkok. http://www.consular.go.th/main/

Do you have a copy of their birth certificates. The embassy website only mentions a copy as being needed. See: http://www.thaiembassyuk.org.uk/?q=node/78

If you are planning a trip to here for them they could enter with expired passports and then get them while here.

Where were their births registered? If at the embassy in London you might able to get a copy from them or at least enough info they would allow you to apply for their passports.

Can explain how it can be done at consular affairs department of the MFA.

As far as I know it is not possible because they don't have records of births.
