Renewal of non-B in Passport with just under six months' validity

Recommended Posts

My good lady wife, a filipino, is due to renew her non-b visa at end of April; at this time her current passport will have about two weeks short of six months left before being due for renewal itself. Are there any issues here in terms of renewing the non-B? What can she expect? Any advice or information would be much appreciated. Thanx or salaamat.

Sorry wrong forum please move, many thx.

Visas are not renewed.

I think she probably has an extension of stay issued by immigration. She can apply for the extension but it will only be valid to the date her passport expires. When the shortened extension expires she would have to apply for a new extension and supply all the supporting documents again.

If it was a tingle entry visa she needed it would require 6 months validity on the passport. For a multiple entry it would be 18 months.
