Chasing Old Tennant For Money

Featured Replies

My Mrs. rented out her old house to a small thai company. They bailed and did not pay the last few months. They made a few threats what they would do if she tried to sue them ( not scared ... have plenty of back up if they are serious )....

Sticking to legal aspects, what would be the best line of approach. ? We have a clear tennancy agreement and all of the required documentation.

Thanks

Concentrate all efforts on finding another tenant.

I am afraid I have to agree with GH.

It's absolitely pointless trying to cahse money you will never get..let alone dangerous..

give it up and move on...You still have their deposit I presume?

Why would she allow them to stay in the house for months without paying rent?

same as all debt skippy

how much effort and time will you have to put in to get the money back

and will the debt cover your time and effort.

best of luck

Once again I am shocked. I can't not believe a Thai company will not pay as they always pay me.

What did you or the wife do to them? You must have caused them to lose face.

I bet you ask them for the money asking Thais for money make them lose face.

Never do that again with the new tenant. In fact when rent is due get them a gift. They will like a lot
