Jalapeno seeds

Featured Replies

I am unable to find these in Thailand. I can order them from the US, but would prefer buying locally.

Villa usually has the jalapenos, but rarely.

Any ideas as to who sells the seeds?

Several threads about this in the farming sub-forum.

Some say they dont grow well: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/836566-hot-pepper-seeds-wanted-mexican-type/?p=9585622&hl=chilli

Seeds taken from fruit sold for eating may not be viable due to the way they are treated or the use of hybrid varieties. No harm trying, of course.

Thanks, will go to that thread as well.

I talked to a supplier in the US and they say these should grow well in Thailand, but they are picky peppers.

Villa has local and import peppers, buy the local ones from the Kings Project and they will not be treated. Wife grows jalapeno and habaneros in small pots and had no problems, the habaneros had more fruit than the others, but now she got her hands on some Carolina Reaper seeds, that could be scary!
