A friend is Russian, married to a Russian, living in Thailand. Their son was born in Thailand, 8 months old now, holds a Russian passport. What are the child's options in regard to a Thai visa? The parents are here on tourist visas I believe. thanks for any advice.

The child, If born in Thailand, does not need a visa.

When the child leaves the country (using the birth cert, + passport ) a visa will be needed to return unless only a short stay is intended.

As a matter of interest what exactly are the parents doing in Thailand ?
