getting a single entry in penang?

Featured Replies

is this visa process relatively easy to go through ? arrive the morning of and get the next afternoon kind of deal?

and i'm assuming an american doesn't need a visa to enter penang, malyasia?

thanks

Apply the morning of one day and pickup the next afternoon. Use an agent and you don't need to go to the consulate.

You will get a 90 day visa exempt entry when entering Malaysia.

No visa barriers for Americans entering Malaysia but I am told there is a big fence which bars "americans" from entering Penang ! smile.png

Which type of visa would you be seeking ?

I am here now , visa has to be in between 9 am and noon, pick up next day at 2pm. Most taxis know where the embassy is, I lined up for about 20mins.Pick it up tomorrow, mine is a 12month multi entry based on having a child, cost 750 ringgit.

Do you need to show flight tickets?

Do you need to show flight tickets?

I assume you mean for a tourist visa. Not usually needed. However, if you have had a couple of single entry tourist visas from Penang before, they may ask to see an onward flight ticket. If they do, it is a signal that this is your last from Penang, and they do not intend to give you any more tourist visas in the future.
