Various agencies prepare for public referendum

BANGKOK, 12 April 2016 (NNT) - The National Legislative Assembly has called for a meeting with relevant agencies to discuss the organization of the public referendum, while the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army has expressed his confidence in the referendum moving the country forward.

Meanwhile, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army Gen Teerachai Nakvanich has advised political parties to trust in the public's judgement, expressing his confidence that the draft constitution will lead to national progress.

Gen Teerachai said that the Royal Thai Army will aid in educating the public on the contents of the draft constitution. He added that all military personnel and their families should take part in the referendum, which he believes will serve as the country's first step towards democracy.

Rah, Rah, Rah.

Thank you, NNT, for that fine piece of minor propaganda.

Well done.

Lets hope this occasion is not marred by violence.

"well done"

Are you referring to this?:

"Gen Teerachai said that the Royal Thai Army will aid in educating the public on the contents of the draft constitution."

glad I am not thai. I do not think I could keep my mouth shut if I was

I'm more worried about bogus results, like 99.3% choosing "Yes". If they put out phoney polls, what moral qualms will they have making up referendum results?

If only the Royal Thai Army trusted the public's judgement.

But instead it always sees the need to lead the public on a short leash like a puppy dog.

Meechai writes a contsitution to paper train the public and teach it tricks like "Heel."

Is everyone in Thailand a commander or a general
