April 12, 201610 yr Hi everyone, I came to thailand 4 months ago and found a work in a modeling agency (had to go to Laos to do the visa b etc...) got back in BKK and worked since then (4 months visa b which ends the 20th April + work permit) I'm not planning on working again. I want to spend 2 more weeks in Thailand, just for relaxing, going to the beach etc.. which I didn't do while I was working but I know that I have to get out of Thailand and then come back to get a "normal" tourist visa (30days). So I bought a ticket for Kuala Lumpur from the 19th April to the 21th April. I wanted to know if the immigration (Don Meuang airport) won't be a bit suspicious about my case, like why are you coming back etc...? Or even worse forbid me to enter the territory. I heard that Don Meuang airport was tough with some people getting in/out of the country just to get tourist visa. (By the way I have a french passport). Did any of you ever did this before? Thank you
April 12, 201610 yr There is no reason for DM immigration to be "suspicious" (is there?) There are no 30 day tourist visas but as a French national you would qualify for a "visa exempt entry"
April 12, 201610 yr You will get a 30 day visa exempt entry not a tourist visa when your return, You will have no problem getting an entry since they only count visa exempt entries before they question you about doing another one.
April 12, 201610 yr Author @Johnatong No, of course there's not but I'm the kind of person that thinks about everything and doesn't want any trouble on the way and yes sorry, that's what I meant a visa exempt entry
April 12, 201610 yr You will have no problem re-entering based on your history. Immigration are on the look out for people that use the tourist visa exempt scheme too much. IO's can question anyone at anytime about the reason for visiting. If you are questioned just be clear that you are here for tourism/leisure.
April 12, 201610 yr Author @ubonjoe Thank you when I arrived in Bkk (before getting the job) I came with a 90days tourist visa, are they going to count it? 3 weeks later I got the job and and left for Vietiane. Maybe I'm just overthinking ...
April 12, 201610 yr Visas of any kind do not count. They only look at your history of visa exempt entries and you would need at least 6 of them before you were even questioned. Even then they cannot easily deny you entry.

Maybe I'm just overthinking ... You are "overthinking" There are no 90 day tourist visa only 60 day tourist visas which can be extended for 30 days on payment of a 1900 Bht fee at an immigration office.
