PATTAYA: -- Fire officers were called to soi Paniadchang 8, opposite Redemptorist Vocational School on Pattaya Klang earlier today when a fire started in a storehouse containing approximately 2000 crates of energy drinks.

Construction workers in the area said they heard the sound of bottles breaking followed by a large explosion. Then shortly after that, smoke and flames began to pour out of the storehouse.

Fire fighters arrived on the scene quickly but it still took approximately 30 minutes to extinguish the fire.

...told fire officers that at the time of the explosion he was supervising workers as they loaded a ten wheel truck with alcohol and energy drinks for delivery to a nearby customer.

Theory:

Cans exploded under pressure.

Liquid got out and hit some of the circuits.

Circuits not that well insulated and started to short.

Smoke and fire then started up.

V will learn the details of how an enraged bull defied the sponsors and triggered an M50 derivative weapon to trigger the upcoming promotion of yet another caffiene laden product in the next week or two. Such a shame mountains of dew could not stop the flames!cheesy.gif

These drinks are mostly sugar which is highly calorific & so when the temperature of the fire hits the sugars igniting point then it will really flare up.

Sugar is often used in home-made fireworks & by amateur rocket builders who mix it with potassium nitrate.

I see people downing this rubbish morning, noon & night seemingly under the delusion that it's good for them. Government health agencies should be warning people off this stuff if they are consuming it regularly
