Need re-entry permit for family visit longer than 1 month.

Featured Replies

Hi

If i get a re-entry permit at the airport it will be valid for 1 Month....

I am planning a family visit with duration more than 1 month...

Questions:

Will I be able to stay out of Thailand longer than 1 month, if I use the TM8 ?
Is their a limit for how long I can stay outside Thailand, if I use the TM8 ?

I must of cause be back, before I need to extend my NON "O" visa gigglem.gif

There is no limit as long as you are back for your extension.

A re-entry permit is valid for the length of the permit to stay it is issued for. For example if you have an extension that is still valid for 10 months the re-entry permit will be valid for that long.

What visa/extension of stay would the re-entry permit be based on and what is your "Admitted until date" ?

A re - entry permit adds no time to the "Admitted until date" it merely allows a person to leave and return with the SAME "Admitted until date".

Visas cannot be extended.

If i get a re-entry permit at the airport it will be valid for 1 Month....

This sounds like a hard fact/general statement or do you refer to your personal situation ("If I get ... it would").

There is of course not general limit of 1 month.
