Tides are very low in the summer months.

Beach at Soi 1 Maenam Samui, start and finish of day trips to Marine Park and Koh Toa.

 

 

Over 300 people returned from their day trip!... the stragglers !

Kite surfing near Nathon, a lot more windy! Tide really up too!

Mile (KM) marker Maenam beach Samui to Kon Phangan, the Marine park and Koh Toa.

Out with the old in with the new... electric poles being replaced up my street.

 

 

 

I suspect there will be no power for a day or so while the move the lines sometime soon!

 

The old line goes through these Cashew nut trees

I have never seen a blue lobster in a fish tank before... I thought they would be salt/sea water loving?

It's a crayfish, not a lobster.

Where did you see it, I love crayfish.

Yes, I have been told Crayfish since posting ... friends in Maenam have... two!

 

Told to day alot of this shrub, was planted around the Samui highways,  in honor of the late King. Very beautiful.

Ban Tai Beach Samui,  one of the nicest of Samui beaches IMO.

 

Today!

Bantams have demonstration on beach road ... It was not clear on what all the clucking was about.....

 

 

beach was pretty quiet... but then it's never crowded.

They want Ban Tai to be renamed Ban Tam.

Buddha in a boat! Bophut Temple, Koh Samui, I think an attempt as a tourist attraction, but they need to clean up the grounds a little...

Secret beach, southern end of Samui, one of the nicest beaches on the island. Very difficult to find. Laem Set beach.

Last week had the opportunity to go to Koh Phangan...

 

Visited Thong Nai Pan beaches on the N E coasr, which I had not been to for years, as it was only accessible by boat. ... Now has a new albeit hilly and windy paved road, is only 14 kms from Ban Tai (KP).

 

It's just stunning! Luckily for us the weather was good!

 

 

You can even get Pizza!

 

 

 Chrystal clear water too!
