PHUKET: -- The driver of a Ford pickup truck escaped with only minor injuries when he crashed his vehicle into a delivery truck parked in front of the SuperCheap store in Koh Kaew in the early hours of this morning. However, the impact of the crash caused the pickup to flip, wiping out several motorbikes in the process.

Banharns condition remains critical today

BANGKOK: -- The condition of ex-premier Banharn Silpa-archa remains critical today, and still needs a close around the clock monitoring, doctors at Siriraj hospital said on Friday.

Dr Prasit Watanapha, Dean of the Faculty of Medicines at Mahidol University, said Mr Banharn is still in the intensive care unit and has to breathe through breathing apparatus.

His latest condition will be assessed again today before making it update to public, he said.

The leader of Chart Thai Pattani part was urgently admitted to Siriraj yesterday after suffering from breathing difficulties.

He has sickness of allergy and was once in November last year to Siriraj of the same sickness.

He is 84 years old now.
