NRSA Whip confirms assembly's readiness to help explain referendum questions

BANGKOK, 22 April 2016 (NNT) – The National Reform Steering Assembly is ready to help with the process to explain details of the public referendum questions to the public, if asked, according to its Whip.

Secretary and spokesman of the NRSA Whip, Kamnoon Sidhisamarn said on Thursday that the explanation for the additional question, which will be asked during the public referendum process, has been a resolution of the National Legislative Assembly, which would like to take the opportunity to hear more voters’ opinions.

Mr. Kamnoon said that the NRSA is ready to help carry out the process if it is asked to assist.

Nevertheless, he stated that the NRSA will only be involved in the area related to national reform, although a final decision will only be made after the NRSA President reviews the issue.

Mr. Kamnoon added that the NRSA will convene next week to review five reports from various committees, which cover such topics as the management of national and cultural heritage, emergency medical services before patients’ arrive at hospitals, and the Land Bank as well as its related draft law.
