April 20, 200422 yr I`m a coded pipe welder by trade and also worked at J.C.B Excavators in England building diggers. I`m 34 and wanted to get out of engineerig but just wondered if there is any work available in this field and if so what sort of money could i get. Regards Dirty. April 20, 200422 yr People working in this field in Thailand make around $300 or $400 a month, tops. They have no need for foreigners with this qualification.
April 20, 200422 yr When working in the Arabian gulf,I had as weldors,Certified ASTM pipe and pressure vessel weldors with LH 300 certs. and they were all Thais, so it appears that there are plenty of em here.
April 20, 200422 yr yep, I had six certified welders building gas tight furnaces, all Thai and each was earning 600 Baht/day, they did a ###### of a good job too.
April 20, 200422 yr On the other hand you could easily become an English teacher at one of the fine institutions here and draw around 2-3 times that amount. All the best!
