Phone which you can see the script and keys?

Was forced by AIS to convert to their new "3G" phone, and decided on the 3.5 inch "Lava" at no actual cost. You pay to top up 790 Baht. However, they take your old phone, no option to keep it.

My "old" phone was about ten years old, bought in Hong Kong, no internet but the font was larger(despite the phone being 1/3 the size) and I"m used to the sms script option of just ten or twelve keys, selecting your letter etc.. This new phone has the complete keyboard and it's difficult to find the letters you want to use. In addition, messages received are a smaller script now! I don't care about the bloody wife/wifi and internet for many reasons including I can't see her/it anyhow.

Any suggestions on a "3G" phone, the old size and keyboard, with a decent font which works with AIS sims? As I say, I don't care about wifi/internet. I would have gladly kept the old phone but it wasn't "3G".

In addition, I later learned this LAVA AIS can't be used with other companies sim's including out of the country sims say in Singapore or Cambodia. Only where AIS is available on a roaming fee. You can't just walking into the airport phone shop and buy a tourist sim for your stay and plug it in as was the case before.

Overall, just flabbergasted and willing to buy a phone which provides me:

No hassles.

Rings and beeps loud enough when I have an SMS.(I can't hear the SMS signal on this phone)

I can see without reading glasses, as I could with my now departed Samsung.

Keyboard just with numbers and letter options below, you find your letter etc..

I need a drink and a fall on the sidewalk.

Mate! I ditched my Samsung and got an ASUS from Lazada not too expensive and does everything.

It's really a Google phone.

I bought the Zenphone 2 5in version but was too big for my pocket so got the smaller

Bruce, the phone shop directly in front of Lotus (near Outlet Mall), between the two entrances/exits. Has AIS compatible phones that also take other companies SIM cards.

The Samsung I bought was c1200 Bt and takes two SIM's so you can just switch between them. There are lots of different phones there so I'm sure you could find one that's suitable.

In the OP I do not find the obvious:

Did you work through the menu and search for the font size settings?

Ring tone and volume can be changed also.

With the exact model number it might be possible to find an online manual.

One of the first things when I buy a new phone:

search for the largest font and the loudest ringtone.

Samsung s7 edge showing fonts and keyboards

I am sure you are trying to be helpful, but I don't think the OP wants a top of the line S7edge for 30k baht (or whatever the price is).

Then as said in post #10 go to play store and look for keyboards

Try them all till you find one you like.

You can also maximise the fonts in SMS and OS

don't buy a no name phone.bugger to fix when broken
