MickeyMaow
Can you still get the 30 day visa on arrival to Thailand? Can you come to Thailand on a one way ticket with a METV visa as you could with a the old multi entry tourist visa?
elviajero
No but you can get a 30 day visa exempt entry as long as you are from one of the qualifying nations. Yes. You don't need an onward flight if travelling with a visa.
Eclipse
A Visa on Arrival costs 1,000 Baht and gives a stay of 15 days. Very few nationalities qualify for this.
MickeyMaow
So what visa should one get if they are only planning on staying 3 weeks to a month?
elviajero
So what visa should one get if they are only planning on staying 3 weeks to a month? You can enter using visa exempt entry, if you qualify, which will give you 30 days. If travelling without a visa the airline will probably want to see an onward fight dated within 30 days of arrival. Single Entry Tourist Visa which will give you 60 days. No onward flight booking needed.

No onward flight booking needed."Is the requirements for the IO in Thailand and airline. However some embassies will not issue an SETV without an onward/return flight, Japan is one.
