Quake struck Ecuador grateful for solidarity and aid

ECUADOR -- Aid is continues to arrive in quake struck Ecuador.

Bolivian President Evo Morales joined Ecuador President Rafael Correa on a visit to Manta to observe relief efforts following the April 16 disaster.

Ecuador is still assesing the damage inflicted by the quake it is estimated the cost will be between $2 and $3bn.

The country is already running at near-zero growth due to a fall in oil prices.

The president has announced a one off tax of 0.9 percent imposed on individuals with a estimated wealth of $1m.
