Does anyone have a phone number for a driver they have used and reccomend? Preferabely who can understand a little bit of english.

I plan to go to chiang dao, cycle for around 8 hours and return to chiang mai with same driver if possible.

Im not looking for a budget price and will have two passengers with a bicyle each.

And advice would be apprecited.

I don't know what time they start/stop running, but the local buses (from Chang Puak bus station) will put your bike on the roof. Just a thought, it's a fair hike so petrol would be on top of the day's hire and most of them are old so wouldn't be good on fuel. If you're confident enough you can hire a small car or truck and drive yourself for between 800-1,000 baht. It's a pleasant ride out.
