Buying a Sidecar for a common Motorbike near Korat - any Recommendations?

hello Community

maybe somebody has Knowledge about, where to buy a quality Sidecar for a common Motorbike

in Korat Province - eastern Part of the Province

I attach a Picture of a Sidecar Dealer in Khorburi, charging now 6.500 Baht for one of them

I have no Idea, if this is a good Deal - maybe there are better Constructions for the same Prize

or even a bit more

my standing Point is quite simple:

if I pay some Money for a Product, it must come in a reasonable Quality

Cheap is not always the Solution, specially in this Case, where Roadsafty is a concern

Thanks for any Recommendation

use the sidecar quite regulary, great for when going fishing, esky, mats, rods.

not being an expert rider, it is a back road machine for me.

bought some reflectors for the rear of it, could have used a old cd attached by wire, if i wanted to fit in with the locals.

i reckon if the shop is popular, the locals must rate it.

cost should include hooking it up to your bike.

6500 seems about right in price

Got quoted 4000 baht for exact same blue B-5 sidecar here in Amnat Charoen. The guy says he gets them from BKK. Seems like you should have room for negotiating price.

I live south of Korat and had a good one built to my specs and fit to my bike about 5 years ago for 6,000 baht.

I think 6,500 is a reasonable price today.

There are crappy ones available, frames that bend and misaligned wheels that make it difficult to control the bike.

So, be careful and try to buy from someone who will correct any problems you may have with it later.

Don't know if you want to drive that far, but I was pleased with what I got and the follow up service from the place on the main road in Korn Burii that builds them.

Doesn't seem to have any tail lights etc, not a great idea

It is also a very good idea to have a light on the front, left hand side to let other drivers at night know you are wider than just a bike. It helps!
