BANGKOK, 10 May 2016 (NNT) – The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives plans to support farmers during the upcoming farming season with the help from the Meteorological Department.


Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry permanent secretary Theerapat Prayoonsitthi said irrigation systems will be used to allocate water from reservoirs and dams to the farmers during an early rainy season.

He advised farmers to follow weather reports and the situation of water at the dams in Chao Phraya River basin reported to contain only about 1,600 million cubic meters.
