NRSA to promote constitution draft, let public freely decide

BANGKOK, 16 May 2016 (NNT) – The National Reform Steering Assembly (NRSA) is set to promote the content of the new constitution and reformation agendas in a non-instructive manner to let the public decide with freedom, says NRSA deputy chief.

The NRSA’s Vice President Alongkorn Ponlaboot revealed that members of the NRSA will be joining the National Legislative Assembly (NLA) in the NLA meets the public campaign to elaborate on the contents in the new constitution to the general public.

Content will not be presented in an influential manner so the public will be able to decide for themselves whether or not to accept the new charter. These procedures are all in accordance to the Election Committee’s regulations.

The NRSA and NLA will ensure that the public understands the draft charter’s content, especially on new articles related to national reformation and strategies.

On the reconciliation proposal from a National Reform Council (NRC) member Seri Suwanpanont, the NRSA vice president has said this proposal will be reviewed as it received disapproval from most of the members, which has been assigned to a trilateral working committee.

The NRSA vice president has added all work should progress according to the designated road map, prioritizing on constitution drafting, national referendum, and national reform. He affirmed that legal matters regarding national reconciliation will not be enacted this year.

By printing in large letters that the NRSA will "promote the new constitution" is a violation of current laws. These people must be arrested immediately.

' Freely ', now there's a word that's becoming scarce these days and even scarcer in application.

Reconciliation is defiantly out, not one thing so far has convinced anyone that the Junta is able to understand the word reconciliation , using an iron fisted approach certainly puts people on notice of just what mentality the Junta has, the referendum will turn out to be either an endorsement or rejection of the Junta , not necessarily a vote for the constitution, the Charter is something they should have avoided altogether and so was the Coup, this will be another lesson (aka 06) for future Coup leaders , why you shouldn't have the military running a country.........coffee1.gif

I suspect it will be a two-sided ballot:

Side one: Yes

Side two: Please turn over

That lesson has been taught - but never learned, some 15 times or more already. Coups achieve what they are intended to achieve, which is nothing to do with running the country for the benefit of its citizens (well a few of them perhaps). Thailand will still end up with the Deep State in control, behind the unconvincing mask of a parliamentary democracy.oli1-11.jpg?w=720
