BANGKOK: -- Pills marketed online as “miracle cures” for everything from a few extra pounds to cancer are rarely monitored for safety before they reach the buyer’s hands. They can be dangerous and illegal, causing health problems instead of cures.

Police are ramping up their operations against the sale of illegal medications and supplements online. In mid-April, they raided the warehouse for a diet-pill supplier in Maha Sarakham's Wapi Pathum district and seized over 160,000 pills, according to the Bangkok Post.

The Consumer Protection Police Division (CPPD) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) co-organized the April 19 raid, which stemmed from a case in October 2015 in which a 28-year-old woman in Onnut jumped from the 16th floor of a condo while suffering from hallucinations thought to be caused by the diet pills she had been taking for five years.

5 years of taking diet pills , something amiss here

the pills were not working, any rational person

would have ditched them after a couple of weeks,

A portion of Blame on the continued false look

on T V of white skinned Thais on all advertisements and

98% of actors are never overweight.

If you took all the mirror's out of Thailand for 1 day

it would cause the biggest calamity

In a country where fake is king all the way from police, doctors, food and medicine, this is no

surprise that people mix their own crap in their home and paddle it on the streets and clinics

and on TV with very little regards to the damage and suffering they cause, that's because when

they get caught, at worst they get some penalty and their goods are confiscated, so why not

continue doing it right?......

Rational? My wife has been playing the lottery for years under the belief she has 'lucky dreams' despite all evidence to the contrary.
