I can afford the caviar but I save money on the crackers. This is how I can justify it to myself. i am looking for Russian friends who deliver tons of "vile" caviar for peanuts. great savings! I wouldn't give 100 hundred baht for a ton of the stuff. Well, on second thought, maybe I would. A ton of the stuff would fatten up the fish in my pond. I had to go out that night and be dressed well, I went into a shop downstairs in the lobby. I needed a pair of black socks and the guy was telling me how great his socks were. So I told him just give me 6 pairs, it came out to nearly $800. So I told the guy maybe I just need one pair. lol I can't remember what they were made of but I saved around $650 by only opening my wallet a little bit. i felt like a loser having to back pedal. Fly to HKG or BKK at least twice. Dont own motorised wheels. My biggest cost is aircon. Then food. House paid off by someone else... Amazing really. But... even if others seem far far far (...) more advanced than me when it comes to save money, I believe that I am not that bad either. One more way to make your life super cheap in Thailand (as on the pictures): - Hoegaarden super premium beer, instead of champagne. - Oscietra caviar, instead of beluga. - Crab sticks from 7/11 (29b a pack) (the king of the savings). Perfect "saver's combination". You don't need to call a master chef to prepare your dinner anymore either. Caviar is not very expensive in Russia if you know where to buy it...Hint- it's not official shops. If we talk about beluga caviar it's more expensive and more difficult to get it. Try to grow a sense of humor. for one small moment I thought I was a high roller and then got called out and had to put them back and then I understood that people have bigger budgets than I do and different lifestyles. Excuse me for having ever gone somewhere and wanting to go out and dress up for a nice meal and to see some shows and go to the casino.... I do not know what it so puzzling about it? Once I decided to buy it, they brought me and my friend a full afternoon tea set from The Oriental shop. It was not only delicious, but after that great attention from the store manager... I did not have to eat ANYTHING else for the rest of the afternoon !!! The whole afternoon !!! Incredible saving, isn't it? So, if you want to save on food, hurry up, and buy a watch at Bovet (On top of that it's all limited editions).
