The best I'm getting is $1481. Anyone have idea how to get better? Bro is leaving Dec 11-14 with return Dec 23 to year end

I've been checking all flights from the US for quite a time now and the price you got is about the best so far. I fly out on the 12th from Seatle for $1500 which seems quite high but the prices are going up everyday. Good luck.

Thx Popeye, say hi to Olive Oil for me

Very tough time of year to find any deals but that said, grab yourself a shovel or two and check out Best Travel Store

Do you care which carrier is used?

For the $1,481 fare do you know the carrier? The fare class?

Generally speaking this is more or less a competitive fare given the timeframe, and through normal sales channels. All of the lower class (Q/V/W/) fare buckets have sold or been given to concolidators, so the remaining higher class fare buckets (Y/B/M/H) are the only ones left.

You could check with some consolidators, if they have any V or W fares left they should be closer to $1,100.

Head over to the Flyertalk Forum and search each carriers' forum (UA, NW, AA) for the keyword "consolidator". UA and NW both fly their own metal to BKK while AA codeshares the NRT-BKK portion with JL.

thank you sj

According to Kayak.com American Airlines offers a $1329 R/T ticket if you prefere to avoid PI Air :o .

Or you might want to consider going the vacation route with NW. Generally, the prices are around the same price but it also includes hotel.
