May 25, 201610 yr But where will they get the people from to teach then "ethics"? Or perhaps they are only going to do the "before" session.
May 25, 201610 yr If they actually understand the word it can be taught and, like everything else, can be thought of as applicable to everyone other than themselves. This may be a poor example but never the less appropriate, look at the traffic laws.
May 25, 201610 yr Reminds me, what happened to the plagiarizing professor that got the farang he copied from arrested and imprisoned? Talk about ethics....
May 25, 201610 yr Sounds like the course material will include one of those "shortest books ever written"?
May 26, 201610 yr Same old Thai thing, same old. Thais are always planning to emphasize. YEP!!! the hub of "to" e.g. to emphasize, to initiate, to crackdown to to to to to... but little or no GO/DO. Welcome to the land of To.
May 26, 201610 yr I wonder if Mr Pirapong has always practiced good ethics in working his way up through the labyrinth of bureaucracy to get to his permanent secretary of the BMA position....
May 26, 201610 yr I am sure this is the kind of thing they have in mind when they use the word ethics; The BMA and education departments reputation together with that of the Thai teaching fraternity in this area of ethics is beyond reproach
May 26, 201610 yr I can see that this initiative (like many others before it) is going to be a resounding success (refer http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/866711-new-school-hours-in-thailand-to-be-effective-on-nov-2/).
May 26, 201610 yr But where will they get the people from to teach then "ethics"? Or perhaps they are only going to do the "before" session. Ethics in Thailand....Hmmm lets list them. Wai at all times, Smile at all times Do not question any Teacher Do not point out any fault of a teacher in public Do not voice an personal opinions other than that is accepted in Thailand by the "Teachers" Do not get involved in fighting for what is right. simply Ignore and tolerate Do not talk of injustice seen among Thais Do not write anything FACEBOOK Ethics can be defined Personal and Community. In an institution such as an educational institution. On top of the list are - Moral standards - Responsibility to truth - Responsibility to Laws - Responsibility to humanity and its rights. - Taking the initiative to help those who are downtrodden - The art of discussing and accepting views and sharing knowledge - The ability to say sorry.....at the moment...a loose face syndrome.... Thais can and will never say sorry....they do not know its implications they see it as loosing face. any more please add to the list. Would be interested to see what this curriculum of ethics is going to cover.....any links....would be interested!
May 26, 201610 yr How will it be "emphasized"? Falling further and further behind. It's sad for the Thai people.
