No I didn't pass comment to the landlord. I accept that ordering Sunday roast at 20:00 I may have left it late but I'm one of those people who prefer a couple of sundowners before eating large and I just didn't fancy heading out to the Pub so tried the Old Bell. If the key is eating there early then I'll pass. For the record I am neither spineless, a <deleted> nor a bar owner.

Temper temper – just because someone is mentioning a poor meal there is no need to jump down their throat! I too had a bad experience with my dinner last week and yes I did complain and yes it was corrected but it still leaves a bad taste in the mouth for the first serving to be sub standard. From your perspective all seems to be roses and you are very defensive of the establishment – are you the manager or business partner by any chance?

I didn't notice a reply to your question, but the owner of The Olde Bell is a Millwall supporter who according to his previous posts has recently moved here with his wife and started a business, so that could answer your question. That might explain why he not only started the thread but why he defends it so vehemently?
