Hi All,,,this is a 2 part question hopefully someone can update with the latest information.......

Will be applying for an extension of stay based on retirement at Immigration NakonsriThammarat,,

currently have an O-A multiple entry issued from Australia.

1/ what are the current requirements at NST(exlc.800,000thb in bank)regarding income statement.

ie:will they accept copies of home country bank statements or only embassy letter etc.?

2/ Australian Embassy BKK inform me they only do notarial services, witness signature of a statutory declaration

made by you.It is not an official embassy letter as such.

So will this type of document be accepted by Thai immigration?esp.NST.

Have already discussed with NST IO and it was not totally clear to me specifically what they need,,just a vague

reference to an embassy letter,,,

Has anyone on TV had recent personal experience with this process?

Many thanks.

1. You only need proof of 65k baht income which in your case will be a statutory declaration done at the Australian embassy.

.2. The statutory declaration will be accepted.

When does your current permit to stay you got from your last entry end? You cannot apply until you are within 30 days of that date.

Thanks so much UJ for the confirmation.

I am probably a bit anal, permit to stay ends April 2017 but i like to be totally prepared.

Info is now in my database for reference.

Cheers

The Embassy affidavit should be sufficient (have back-up evidence ready for Immigration.)

It is done on an OZ Embassy form and is good for 6 months.

Look out for Embassy outreach visits to Phuket - closer than BKK if you drive.

Some Embassies supply a letter of proof of income, such as the British Embassy, where the proof of income must be shown first.

Other Embassies notarise a statuary declaration, often without proof of funds.

Either are accepted by Thai Immigration as proof of income.

I missed that bit. Still don't see it.

He found that out by looking a the OP's previous posts by clicking find content on his profile.
