KC 71
Has anyone noticed the abundance of mayflies every evening ? I assume they are mayflies(same as in the uk) Even the chinchooks are getting bored of eating them now! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Truscott
Do you mean flying (Queen) ants that come out during the rainy season and are abundant at the moment?
villagefarang
Haven't noticed any mayflies but we have been getting a large number of termites and flying ants of varying sizes.
Rotweiler
Very few flying ants here this year. Had some in mid-may, almost nothing since. In CM last week - a LOT of them at San Sai.
Crossy
Are they not now Juneflies?? We saw a lot of largeish 4 winged beasties attracted to our outside floodlights (to the joy of our chooks) after the rain this morning (northern BKK).
sceadugenga
Our flying ants like coffee, my perc is on the back deck where I drink it and there's always a few in the jug in the morning no matter how clean it is. There seems to be several species, we had a couple of nights of small ones then last night the biggies arrived in force.

sceadugenga
There were a few maeng mao around last night but they were dismissed as "too small". No doubt buckets of water will be set up under lights tonight to ensnare their larger brethren.
