Hi ForumMates!

I am not very technical and am confused about getting started. Maybe you can help.

GOAL : Connect to (American) Netflix, etc. via Roku via range extender via Smart DNS (or VPN?)

BACKGROUND:

1. Have Win 7

2. Have 3BB with FiberHome fiber optics router they supplied.

3. Just bought Netgear range extender wn2500rp to use with Roku 4. Roku works fine now except blocks U.S. channels.

4. Have Roku 4

QUESTIONS:

1. I assume that I want Smart DNS as opposed to VPN, but am happy to hear arguments to the contrary.
2. Do I have to re-configure my FiberHome router? Is that even possible?
3. Do I have to change any settings on my pc?

4. Or . . . Do I just configure the range extender with new DNS settings?

Thanks for your help. Excuse the newbie questions!
