$ 66 K doesn't sound that much to me if somebody really wants to help.

I'll never forget the Tsunami that killed many of our friends and we'd just moved to Isaan from Baan Naam Khem, which belongs to Takua Pa province.

The ten million Euros coming from Germany disappeared in many peoples's pockets but the flood victims received almost nothing. A German Forensic team flew in they started their cruel work until a Thai officer showed up and blamed them for working without a work permit.

As sad as it sounds, the highly qualified German team had to leave Thailand. I've seen too many dead bodies that were very long in the sun and saltwater, you couldn't even say if the person was from Africa,Asia, or Europe.

I've still got the pictures in my head.

"The Thai government has donated 2.4 million baht to help the people of Sri Lanka people affected by floods and landslides."

It must have strained the hell out of you, sticking the pry bar in the old wallet and dragging out that generous sum.

LOS, "The hub of humanitarian aid".

they probably charged a 2.5 mill fee to give it to them. is a pointlessly small amount. disgusted by that story about the germans helping after tsunami being forced to leave due to the lack of work permits. i almost had my business shut down over a small issue with my work permit. i asked the thai official about the 5 thai people who work for my business. his reply was 'i dont care'. love life here in thailand but it is hard to get over some of the negative aspects.

Govt., quick to send money overseas... they should look after their own people. EG. The poor school kids who died in a fire up in Chiang Rai, their families received a pittance in compensation...
