Buakaw literally did not break a sweat yesterday to win a match at the Kunlun Fighting Championship. His Chinese opponent raised his hand to admit defeat three-minutes into the first round.

In the evening’s highlight, Buakaw Banchamek, the beloved Muay Thai legend, went against Chinese kickboxing prospect Wang Weihao, who basically acted like a moving punching bag for Buakaw for the entire round.

The competition was held in Chengdu, China, home of the recently opened Kunlun Fight gym. After an easy-breezy win, Buakaw posted some victory party pictures, where he was surrounded by Chinese ladies.

Muay Thai may not be the most spectacular and fancy martial art ballet, it's still the deadliest.

This is the guy that got his ass handed to him in Bangkok and then stormed off in a huff because the judges gave the verdict to the foreigner. biggrin.pngclap2.gif

Chinese guy didn't look in great shape. Our boy in comparison is way too scarey. Chinese guy took the right decision, he was really taking a beating.

Did you see the 2 chinese girls? Thammada & even more thammada!

the deadliest as predictable as American wrestling and FIFA soccer.

Guess if a guy is going to take a dive he might as well get it over early and get on with his payday.

No it's not. It depends on the skill level of the individual and the rules under which the fight is taking place.

There isn't such a thing as the deadliest martial art. Muay Thai is a sport derived from Thai traditional martial arts.

YouTube is full of cross code cross style fighting. You can watch each style win and loose. All depends on the person's ability and the rules.

For 3 years running I beat a guy in a Karate championships. Each year we met at different stages, preliminary round or knock out stages. Each time I beat him convincingly. He got a bit depressed as he was younger, fitter, bigger and strong being an ex-miner. He would have obliterated me in a street fight but just couldn't adjust to the rules of the competitions.

Hmmmm never heard of MMA then? In which most of the best fighters have Muay Thai ability as well as grappling, Jiu Jitsu, and normally some other striking proficiency as well.

This is way a once majestic sport has reached the gutters.

staged wins, and double digit losses, when there was a time a foreigner ( Robbie Kaman & Raymond Dekker ) who knew the ONLY way to beat a Thai Champion is to train so hard they in order  to deliver the 'stretcher KO'....otherwise, fight; shake hands , if you still could and move on to the next fight. Mind you they; Kaman and Dekkers are STILL regarded as one of the best of them!!

RESPECT.
