Meet the runt of the litter - Peculiar Pig wows Korat villagers

Daily News

KORAT: -- Villagers in Korat have been wowed by a very strange sight - a weirder than weird piglet that looks more like a monkey!

All of the others in the litter were perfectly normal 'triffic trotters'. But 'Del Boy' is a right weird geezer - though of course everyone has fallen in love with the runt of the litter.

Named in Thai as "Jao Bun Lai" (one of much merit) he is a male born to a mum called Mali in the small village of Noan Phiban in Nakorn Ractchasima in the north east of Thailand reported Daily News. Owner Wilaiporn Kampanawan, 60, said that he has got something that looks like a small trunk or proboscis. His eyes are stuck together and he has no piggy nostrils but otherwise he is behaving like your average piglet.

He has to breathe through his mouth and so far won't take Mali's milk so they are feeding him with the help of a syringe. But he has certainly become the darling of the area with villagers coming from far and wide to take a look.

Owner Wilaiwan will be taking him as an offering to the temple to make merit and is sure that Jao Bun Lai will bring nothing but luck and good fortune.

I'm suspicious of the fact that a shot of the owners head was left out of the pic, is there a resemblance?

Looks like Somchia has been giving his pigs a little loving.

Someone better get over there and get the lottery numbers quick.

Wasn't this in the news months ago or is it a doppelgänger ?

I guess someone in the village is a Piggy Porker / Poker whistling.gif

I think I know the father He is a Scot from up near Korat

wouldn't it be better to take the piggy to the vet to get it checked up to see if the piggy will have any complications....

Looks like a sesame street character... still, surely it's suffering from those biological complications.

It's cute, it almost looks unreal. I can see why people are coming to see it. Hope they don't chop him up and cook him as an offering. Dx

Oh My goodness, the eyes aren't on opposite sides of the head.

Nothing like a pig? More like monkey.

Perhaps best they should cook him before a DNA test might be done?

"Food for thought" ???

Just looked at the Daily news and the ears look like dogs ears.

A set of teeth and a chin like a monkey.

Puts a whole new meaning to "pig dog" ???

A DNA test would be in order.
