Cairo: A grandmother was stripped naked and paraded around her village in Upper Egypt after rumours spread that her son, a Christian man, had an affair with a married Muslim woman.

Seven homes of Christians were torched by a Muslim mob after the accusations against the son of Soad Thabet, 70, sparked the latest sectarian strife in Egypt.

Nagwa Ragab, the Muslim housewife at the centre of the dispute, has denied being involved with Thabet's son in the small village of al-Karm in Minya, a poor province around 300 kilometres south of Cairo and home to the largest Christian community in Egypt.

No, don't worry, it's not. It's exactly what is expected from your culture, religion and country.

And for the owners of the 7 torched homes. sad.png

Religion, as the late Christopher Hitchens shrewdly observed, poisons everything.

Muslims seem to be born without pity. Even burn their own kids to death over honour. Totally inhuman behaviour.

Thats because its an evil religion.

Their "prophet" was a pedophile.

Women are chattels,

Need l go on?

How insecure they must be to kill anyone who wants to leave their ridiculous religion.

When will people use their brains????

So you strip a 70 year old woman and parade her because of what?

Infidelity happens no matter what religion race creed or colour - but grandma - you sick MF's

It was only an allegation - against the lady's son. Not even proven - but why wait for proof. And the old lady is a soft target so let's humiliate her. Lucky she was old or she'd probably been "honor" raped a few times too, as punishment for the perceived sins of the son. And when the emotions are high, torch a few houses for good measure, maybe get lucky and burn someone inside to death.

Of course this is about religious bigotry from the most intolerant, violent, unforgiving, full of hate religion in today's world. How many followers of other religions regularly rape, torture, murder and violently assault others as a way of showing their faith?
