Dhammachayo blacklisted by Immigration Bureau



BANGKOK: -- The Police Immigration Bureau’s has blacklisted Wat Dhammakaya abbot Phra Dhammachayo and barred from leaving the country, unless prior permission is granted by authorities..

The blacklisting of the abbot came after a meeting of the Justice Ministry, the Royal Thai Police and the Department of Special Investigation after the followers of the stubborn abbot refused DSI authorities to get closer to him for acknowledgement of charges although they had search warrant from the court.

banning the dear sick abbott from travel,

So nice to see inter departmental communication working a treat,

long flee the abbott above and beyond the country"s LAWS.

The authorities lost huge face yesterday. Just like a child they have to do something to make themselves feel better. This is really the best you can think of? This should have been done from day one.

While the authorities are high fiving each other on regaining face, anyone with half a brain just has their head in their hand groaning with disbelief.

Good plan...now when he wants to enter the country (he left a while ago) to face his indictment the immigration officer will prevent him from entering, because he's on immigration blacklist. He can then claim to have tried his best to assist the justice department

watching and hearing about the authorties of this country dealing and trying to catch criminals, reminds me of the youngsters and their

greased pigs catch attempts at the county fairs back home. Even when several ganged up on the pig, he normally slipped out of their hands. And they wonder why there is a need for actual accountablity and enforcement of rules/laws in the general population.

I had a friend that used to do that with the local monks. Not sure if it was after they finished the whisky bottle together.
