BANGKOK, 18 June 2016 (NNT) – Cambodia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhon is scheduled to pay an official visit to Thailand during June 19-20, 2016.

The Cambodian foreign minister is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on his Thai counterpart Don Pramudwinai in Bangkok.

It will mark his first visit as Cambodian foreign minister with the aim to introduce himself for the post.

He will also call on Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on June 20, 2016, and discuss with his Thai counterpart the bilateral cooperation, especially the enhancement of connectivity, trade and investment promotion and cooperation in labor, agriculture, public health and education.

The discussion between the two foreign ministers will follow up on the progress in talk during a previous Thailand-Cambodia Joint Cabinet Retreat and preparations for the Thailand-Cambodia Joint Commission to be held at a later date in Bangkok as well as an unofficial Thailand-Cambodia Prime Ministers and Ministers Meeting to be held in Cambodia.
