June 20, 201610 yr And this speech on leadership was made with a straight face, was it..? Was there a segment on banana slinging and the best way to make death threats? Edited June 20, 201610 yr by baboon
June 20, 201610 yr Probably a better face then the politician in this one And this speech on leadership was made with a straight face, was it..?
June 20, 201610 yr “PM kicks off leadership creation program” Just too tempting to leave this NNT-piece alone – this would have to be the best oxymoron ever, juxtaposing junta-head and leadership.
June 20, 201610 yr ^^ Each to their own of course robblok, but I wouldn't throw her out of bed to get to the good General.. Edited June 20, 201610 yr by baboon
June 20, 201610 yr ^^ Each to their own of course, but I wouldn't throw her out of bed to get to the good General.. They are both (and most Thai politicians) hypocritical. I have only seen a few good ones Abisith and Korn
June 20, 201610 yr Ah yes leadership... all well and good as long as they understand they won't actually be doing any leading... that's all been taken care of.
June 20, 201610 yr 'Leadership' is one of those weasel concepts that can be made to mean just about anything to suit the personal prejudice of the person using it, There is no consensus on what constitutes leadership, let alone on how it how it develops. Perhaps the PM could enlighten us about his view on the characteristic skills of a successful leader and how these can be taught.

June 20, 201610 yr ^^ Each to their own of course robblok, but I wouldn't throw her out of bed to get to the good General.. I think the majority of people wouldn't throw the wicked old witch out of bed to get to Prayuth. A seriously unpleasant thought. A knot-hole in a fencepost would probably be better... W
June 20, 201610 yr It would seem that since 1932 most of the nation's future leaders come from the Thai military.
June 20, 201610 yr To be fair, they've had 1 or 2 good leaders (well actually more). It's a quality that seems to be lacking at the moment though. We seem to be going through an hiatus.
June 21, 201610 yr Better to do something positive for the country and be criticised than to do nothing at all and be criticised. Good luck Prayut. Great way forward.

June 21, 201610 yr Yes, he did it with a straight face. This is the man that is positively ensuring education DOES NOT improve. This is the man who has come up with not a single good idea, on how to bring about the much needed changes to an educational system that remains one of the worst in the world. The elite do not want the educational system to improve. Who does he work for? There, you have you answer.
