Hello all,

I know this has come up before, but I’ll ask again.

I’ll make a last 90 day run to Mai Sai come this September, then I’ll go back to Malaysia early December to renew my Non B Multi-Entry visa. However, my work permit will have only 5 months’ validity.

Last year I remember seeing on the “Visa Requirements” page of the Thai Consulate-Penang web site that an original work permit with a 6 months’ validity had to be produced. Now it just says…

For multiple entries: [Original work permit must be produce with the application]

No mention of any time validity on the work permit.

So should I be concerned? Should I just go to Penang in September? Or maybe try to renew my work permit before December even though it’s valid until May.

Also to note, I’ve been getting 2 years on my work permit since 2010, and I’ve had my multi-entry for 11 years.

Any suggestions/recommendations?

Thanks,

Haiku

Unless it has changed recently Penang has been requiring 8 months work permit validity for some time now to apply for a multiple entry non-b visa.
