Land house and visa

Not a pleasant topic I know but need some advice from all you experts

Ok

I'm buying a house with my wife .. Plz don't reply with don't trust thai ladies etc etc

If house and land are on my wife's name

What would happen God forbid my wife dies before me ??? Would I have to leave house and Thailand ?? I really don't know would for example thai state take over ownership

Could I get solicitor letter covering my ownership here's where I have q as I know foreigners can't own land ??

Plz explain to me

Just for a start if I want stay here for 6 months + how do I go about it what do I do and when u have that visa can I leave and re enter

I'm sorry guys I know u have all read and helped on this before sorry to ask again but you lot out there are brilliant and I know I get true honest advice

Or, You could ask your Local Land Office, if you can get a Usufruct. That would "guarantee" you that you can stay in the house (even after the wife dies) for xx years. (Not sure how long)

Seeks legal advice on thaivisa forums, goes ahead, buys house, wife snuffs it, state sells house for 100 baht then, soon enough, he'll be back starting a thread saying "Ripped off by Thai authorities"
